The most common issues usually fall into one of these buckets: starting calls, room rules, plan limits, or saved recordings.

Calls Why couldn’t my call start?

VoiceSpan Translator blocks the call before setup if you are out of minutes or do not have an active plan. The app should tell you that the call could not be started because your call minutes are used up.

Hosted Rooms Why can’t a guest join my room?

The guest needs a valid room invite and a name. If they are joining as a guest without an account, Firebase anonymous sign-in also has to be enabled for your project.

Meeting Credits When are meeting credits used?

Two people total is still a normal call. Free and Silver rooms stop there. Gold and above can use meeting credits for the third person and beyond in a hosted room, and they deduct over time while those extra participants are active.

Continuity What is Smart Continuity?

On Gold, Platinum, and workspace plans, Smart Continuity can convert hours into meeting credits and meeting credits into hours in small steps to keep a hosted room connected before someone gets dropped. It is off by default and can be turned on in Settings.

Recordings How do recordings, transcript PDFs, and meeting notes work?

Recorded rooms save under the host account that started recording. When processing finishes, the host can download the room video, a transcript PDF, and AI-generated meeting notes from My Account under Recordings.

Plans Which plans include recording storage?

Recording storage is available on the workspace plans only. Small Business includes 100 GB of recording storage, and Enterprise includes 500 GB. Personal plans focus on live calls and hosted rooms without the saved recording library.

Usage What happens when my call minutes run out?

If you try to start a new call with no minutes left, the call is blocked before it starts. If your minutes run out during a call, the call ends and the app prompts you to upgrade. On eligible hosted rooms, Smart Continuity can convert meeting credits into more hours first if you turn it on.

Usage What happens when meeting credits run out?

When meeting credits hit zero during an active hosted room, the room is shut down, everyone is removed, and the host sees the buy-credits flow. On eligible hosted rooms, Smart Continuity can convert call hours into more meeting credits first if you turn it on.

Account How do I find a certain time period in the Usage Log?

Open My Account and switch to Usage Log. You can filter by Current Cycle, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, or All Activity, and VoiceSpan Translator groups the entries by month so you can scan a billing period without reading one long list.

Hosted Rooms What does the optional room title do?

The host can add an optional title before starting a hosted room. That title is then reused in the hosted room UI and in saved recording titles so transcript PDFs and meeting notes are easier to recognize later.

Access Does everyone need an account?

No for all flows. Direct VoiceSpan Translator ID calls use accounts, but hosted rooms allow guests to join from a room link without creating a full account first.

Languages What languages are supported right now?

The app currently supports English, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese, French, Arabic, Korean, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Russian, and Haitian Creole. Each participant can choose the language they want to receive when joining a room.

Devices Does it work on phone and laptop?

Yes, the app is built for phone and laptop browsers. Background call behavior is not the same as a native phone app, so users should expect the call to stay active in the browser session.
