Terms of Service
Last updated: April 5, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of VoiceSpan Translator, including the website, account system, calling features, live transcription, translation, messaging, text-to-speech, and related services.
By creating an account, accessing the site, or using VoiceSpan Translator, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
VoiceSpan Translator processes call audio, transcripts, translations, and generated speech through third-party providers. The service may be unavailable, inaccurate, delayed, or interrupted, and it is not guaranteed to be suitable for emergencies, legal interpretation, medical use, or other high-risk situations.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use VoiceSpan Translator. By using the service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and are legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction.
If you are using VoiceSpan Translator on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. The Service
VoiceSpan Translator provides browser-based communication features that may include:
- User accounts and call IDs.
- Live calls between users.
- Hosted rooms for multi-person conversations.
- Speech-to-text transcription.
- Text translation between supported languages.
- Text-to-speech playback of translated content.
- Contacts, call history, and messaging features.
- Optional recording, replay, transcript, or download features if and when introduced.
Features may change, be suspended, or be removed at any time. We may limit availability by geography, device, language, account type, plan, abuse history, or technical feasibility.
3. Third-Party Processing and Consent
VoiceSpan Translator depends on third-party providers for speech processing, translation, hosting, authentication, storage, and networking. By using the service, you consent to the processing of your audio, text, transcripts, translations, metadata, and generated speech as necessary to operate the service.
You are responsible for informing other participants and obtaining any permissions, notices, or consents that may be required before capturing, transmitting, translating, or replaying their voice or content.
4. Recording Features and User Responsibility
If VoiceSpan Translator offers audio recording, video recording, downloadable transcripts, replay files, saved room archives, or similar features, you are solely responsible for using those features only where permitted by applicable law.
You must provide all legally required disclosures and obtain all legally required consents from every participant before starting or continuing a recording. A product notice, banner, tone, spoken message, or visual recording indicator may help communicate that recording is taking place, but those product features do not replace your responsibility to comply with consent, privacy, wiretapping, employment, consumer protection, or communications laws that may apply to your use.
VoiceSpan Translator may disable, restrict, suspend, or remove recording-related access at any time if we believe use of those features creates legal, privacy, provider, safety, or abuse risk.
5. No Guarantee of Accuracy
Translation, transcription, and generated speech may contain mistakes, omissions, timing delays, incorrect speaker attribution, or unnatural phrasing. VoiceSpan Translator does not guarantee that any transcript, translation, or spoken output is accurate, complete, or fit for a particular purpose.
You must not rely on VoiceSpan Translator for emergency communications, medical instructions, legal advice, regulatory compliance, sworn interpretation, financial decisions, or any situation where errors could cause harm.
6. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing truthful, current, and complete signup information.
- Keeping your password and account credentials secure.
- All activity that occurs under your account.
- Maintaining access to a supported device, browser, and network connection.
- Using the service only for lawful and authorized purposes.
You must promptly notify VoiceSpan Translator if you believe your account is compromised or used without authorization.
7. Acceptable Use
You may not use VoiceSpan Translator to:
- Violate any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity.
- Harass, threaten, stalk, defraud, exploit, or abuse others.
- Capture, process, or disclose voice or message content without required consent.
- Record, store, replay, export, or share calls, rooms, transcripts, captions, or related communications without all permissions or consents required by law.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, probe, overload, or bypass security, rate limits, or access controls.
- Use the service to distribute spam, malware, phishing attempts, or abusive automated traffic.
- Use the service in a way that creates unreasonable cost, operational burden, or provider abuse risk.
8. User Content
You retain whatever rights you have in content you submit, speak, send, or generate through the service, subject to the rights necessary for VoiceSpan Translator to operate.
You grant VoiceSpan Translator a limited, non-exclusive right to host, process, transmit, reproduce, transform, and display your content as necessary to provide the service, including for transcription, translation, text-to-speech, call routing, storage, moderation, abuse prevention, debugging, and security.
You represent that you have all rights and permissions needed for the content you submit or cause to be processed through the service.
9. Availability and Beta Status
VoiceSpan Translator may be offered as a beta or early-stage service. It may contain bugs, outages, degraded quality, and incomplete features. We do not guarantee uptime, continuity, or compatibility with every browser, device, region, or network.
We may perform maintenance, deploy changes, apply usage controls, or suspend access without prior notice when necessary to protect the service or other users.
10. Fees and Billing
If VoiceSpan Translator introduces paid plans, subscriptions, usage-based pricing, or credits, those commercial terms may be described separately and incorporated into these Terms. We may suspend or limit access for non-payment, fraud, chargebacks, or abuse.
Unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific offer, each subscription plan renews on its stated billing cycle and restores the full included monthly allowance for that plan after successful renewal payment. Included plan call hours, included meeting credits, and similar recurring plan allotments do not roll over from one billing cycle to the next and reset at the end of each 30-day monthly cycle or other stated billing period. Separately purchased add-on balances, including extra call hours and purchased meeting credits, remain on the account until used and do not expire solely because a monthly plan cycle resets or renews.
An active paid plan is required to buy additional add-ons. If your paid subscription later fails, lapses, or is not renewed, no new monthly included allotment is added and you may be unable to buy more add-ons until a paid plan is active again, but previously purchased add-on balances already on your account may still be used until exhausted unless we expressly state otherwise for a specific offer.
Plans described as "unlimited" are offered for normal personal use only and remain subject to fair-use protections. We may monitor for abnormal, excessive, automated, scripted, bulk, commercial, relay, spam-like, or otherwise abusive activity that creates unreasonable cost, provider risk, or operational burden.
If we reasonably believe usage is inconsistent with normal personal use, we may throttle, suspend, restrict, require an upgrade, convert usage to a metered or capped model, or terminate access without refund to the extent permitted by law.
Unless required by law or expressly stated by us in writing for a specific offer, all charges are final and non-refundable once billed, including subscription charges, one-time add-on purchases, usage-based charges, promotional purchases, and partially used billing periods. You are responsible for reviewing checkout details before purchase.
If you dispute a charge, initiate a chargeback, or reverse a payment, we may suspend or restrict access to the service, remove unpaid or reversed balances, decline future purchases, require an alternate payment method, or take reasonable steps to recover amounts owed, to the extent permitted by law.
You authorize recurring charges for subscriptions until canceled. You may cancel future renewal through the tools we make available, but cancellation stops future renewal only and does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period unless required by law. It is your responsibility to cancel before the next renewal if you do not want to be charged again.
11. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access at any time if we believe you violated these Terms, created legal or operational risk, exceeded permitted usage, provided false information, failed an age requirement, or used the service in a harmful or abusive way.
You may stop using the service at any time. Termination does not eliminate obligations or rights that reasonably should survive, including payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute provisions, and records retained for legal or operational reasons.
We may also suspend or limit specific features, balances, languages, storage access, recording tools, messaging, exports, or add-on purchasing without fully terminating the account if that is the narrower response we believe is appropriate for legal, billing, abuse, safety, or operational reasons.
12. Intellectual Property
VoiceSpan Translator and its related software, branding, interfaces, designs, and documentation are owned by VoiceSpan Translator or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Except as expressly allowed, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, decompile, or create derivative works from the service.
13. Disclaimers
VoiceSpan Translator is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoiceSpan Translator disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and uninterrupted availability.
We do not promise any minimum uptime, service level, delivery speed, storage duration, language availability, transcript retention period, support response time, or eligibility for service credits unless we expressly agree otherwise in a separate written agreement. Outages, provider failures, model changes, translation errors, lost recordings, storage corruption, delays, and feature interruptions may occur.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoiceSpan Translator and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of VoiceSpan Translator for all claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to VoiceSpan Translator in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or fifty U.S. dollars (USD $50).
15. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless VoiceSpan Translator and its affiliates, personnel, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, losses, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
This includes claims, investigations, penalties, disputes, or losses arising from your decision to record, store, replay, export, or disclose communications without required notice or consent.
16. Governing Law and Disputes
You should replace this section with your chosen governing law, venue, arbitration language, and any required consumer notices before commercial launch. Until then, this draft is a product-ready placeholder and not jurisdiction-specific legal advice.
17. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version and revise the last updated date. Your continued use of VoiceSpan Translator after changes become effective means you accept the revised Terms.
We may also change plans, pricing, feature sets, storage limits, fair-use thresholds, provider dependencies, language support, add-on policies, eligibility requirements, and technical limits prospectively. Continued use after those changes take effect means you accept the updated commercial and service terms to the extent permitted by law.
18. Contact
Replace this section with your business contact email and mailing address before launch. These Terms should be reviewed by counsel before broad commercial release or use in regulated contexts.
